This last week has been rather good. Teaching went slow again this week, but I had a ton of fun experiences. During the 4th, a bunch of Elders got together and we had a bbq where we also did some ultimate frisbee and some football. I got to know the some more members in the ward and I got to have some really cool experiences. I hope you are all doing well.

The Lord's hand is in all things
Hello Everyone!
I am so blessed to be able to have this time today to email you all and talk about my week. Truly, this week has been one of the brightest weeks I have seen on my mission! It started like any other week, just continuing to try to find those that God has prepared to hear the Gospel; but to no avail. I was becoming disheartened and I was feeling very lonely. No one we were talking to wanted to know more about Christ and I didn't feel like that there was anyone I could turn to for comfort. My companion saw my struggling heart and recommended that I call our mission president. I didn't want to call President Rogers, how could I ask him to help me when that is all he has done the last five months? But call him I did and he said he would be in town the next day.
The next day arrives and we met with President at the church building. He asked me what was going on and if there was anything he could do to help. I told him how I was feeling and how slow the work was in the area. He listened and gave some input. He told me to always try and see God's hand in each day and that would make me feel better. He then took us out to lunch and he even stayed to help us teach a few people. We knocked on a potential's door and as he was about to say he was too busy, President Rogers asked him if he had 20 minutes to watch a short film. The potential let us in and we watched the Restoration video. Both he and his wife felt the spirit strongly and we plan on going back sometime this week.
The week continued to become better as I saw God working alongside us his servants and we found new investigators each day! I feel so much closer to my Heavenly Father and I know he cares deeply for me. I also know that he cares deeply for all of you because we are all His children here on Earth. I pray that all your days may be filled with happiness and joy. I look forward to hearing from you all.

Day by day
Hello Everyone,
Elder Melanson
This week's message is going to be rather short. Not much happened out in the field this week, but I helped an investigator named Big John move a piano for his little girl and then had a BBQ with the ward where Big John and his family attended. Hope all is well for you all and that you have a great week!
